Ursula and Diogo came to Portugal to get married at the Fortaleza do Guincho, one of the most iconic wedding venues in Portugal.
The day was very windy, which is hardly a surprise at Guincho, ehehe. Still, this had no impact on the atmosphere of the wedding. There is an outdoor sheltered area that allows you to stand almost right by the ocean, enjoying one of the most incredible coastal views for weddings in Portugal.
This was a destination wedding in Portugal filled with natural light, emotion and ocean views, perfect for documentary wedding photography.
The civil ceremony took place late in the afternoon, which allowed the couple to fully enjoy the golden light and the unique setting over the Atlantic Ocean.
The speeches were intense and deeply emotional, and I even heard from some guests that they were among the most beautiful they had ever experienced. They moved everyone and brought many tears, which is something I always love to witness as a wedding photographer in Portugal.
In the end, a relaxed dinner followed, very much in line with the couple, light, natural and full of good energy, closing a truly special wedding in Portugal.
