intimate destination wedding at quinta da marmela
torres novas, portugal
Some weddings are small in number of guests, but big in absolutely everything else, and this was one of them.
Charlie and Dion had an intimate wedding in Portugal, surrounded only by their closest family and friends. They had recently moved from Denmark to Portugal, so it felt only natural that they chose this country to begin this new chapter together.
The wedding took place at the Quinta da Marmela in Torres Novas, a venue often chosen for weddings in Portugal, known for its natural surroundings and peaceful atmosphere. Despite an unsettled sky and a small storm passing through the region, the spirit of the day remained light and full of energy.
This was a true destination wedding in Portugal, where the weather did nothing to change the atmosphere. If anything, it added to it. There was laughter, emotion and a constant sense of celebration and love.
The speeches were many and truly beautiful, filled with sincerity and emotion, the kind of moments that stay with you long after the wedding day.
At the end, there was also something a little different, a Danish tradition where the groom has his shoes removed and the tips of his socks are cut. Simple, playful and full of symbolism.
