Daniela and Luís challenged me to join them on a light hiking couple photography session in Portugal, at the source of the Rio Alviela.

We started the day with an ice cream to gain some energy before beginning the trail, setting the tone for a relaxed and fun adventure.

For me, everything was new, as I had never been there before, although I quickly realised I would either be in front of them or behind them most of the time while trying to keep up.

At the end, they even challenged me to walk through the river with them. I must admit I was a little nervous, as the mud on the bottom made it feel like a skating rink, while I was holding two cameras at the same time.

It was absolutely worth taking the “shortcut”, as not only did we shorten the return route, but I also had the chance to witness Simba being introduced to his kingdom in the most natural and joyful way.
